It all began in Ms. Harrington’s first grade class at Poinciana Elementary School in Key West. From there, we shared hallways, classrooms, and memories — attending the same elementary, middle, and high school, and ultimately graduating together from Key West High School in 2010. We were always around each other — at school events, football games, and even a few of Steven’s epic house parties that Janessa remembers well. But back then, the timing just wasn’t right. Fast forward to 2019 — Janessa moved back home to Key West, and as fate would have it, Steven was still living there too. Then came the COVID-19 pandemic, and the world shifted for everyone. But as life slowly found a new rhythm, something unexpected happened. A chance encounter at The Key Plaza Creperie reconnected Janessa with a friend, Ariela — who invited her to Friendsgiving 2020. It just so happened that Steven was there too — and that’s when everything began.. Our first date was at Onlywood Grill, and a few months later, we made it official over dinner at Martin’s Restaurant. In November 2024, Steven proposed to Janessa at the breathtaking Little Palm Island. Now, here we are — getting ready to say “I do” in the beautiful city of St. Augustine, Florida, and begin our forever together. From childhood classmates to soulmates, we’re so excited to begin this next chapter of our love story.
