The entire event will be business casual. Weather permitting, the ceremony will be held outside and the grass can be a little soft, so you might want to rethink stilettos! Dinner will be served indoors but the additional outdoor space can get a little chilly at night—we recommend bringing a shawl or light jacket.

Which hotel to choose

Answer

We have room blocks available at the Hyatt Place and Westfields Marriott (see Travel tab). Both hotels are about 15 minutes from the venue, 15 minutes from the Dulles airport, and about 5 minutes apart from each other. Steve and I will be staying at the Westfields Marriott for the whole weekend (Saturday to Monday).

Transportion

The Hyatt Place has a complimentary shuttle to/from the Dulles airport and to/from the wedding venue on the day of the event. You can call the front desk (703-961-8160) once you land and they will come pick you up. Similarly, you will work with the hotel directly to schedule your departure from the hotel to get back to the airport. The Hyatt shuttle will also be available to transport guests to/from the wedding. The shuttle sign-up will be available at check-in, and the times will be 4pm departure to the venue and 10:45pm departure back to the hotel. The Westfields Marriott suspended their shuttle service due to COVID. There are plenty of Ubers/Lyfts in the area, and the venue has plenty of parking if you choose to drive yourself.

Of course! We love your kids and we're sure ours will enjoy additional little ones to play with :)

RSVP deadline

15 March 2022 While we understand this is early for typical RSVPs, we are trying to plan early to allow additional time for potential COVID-precautions and out-of-town travel. We know it's early to make these plans, so if you are unsure whether you can fully commit by the RSVP date, we encourage you to say "YES" and then follow-up with us on your particular situation. We can make adjustments in the Spring as the date gets closer. Thanks for being flexible! :)

As an allergy-kid myself, I'm all over the allergy-safe food for the ceremony! We are tracking different diet restrictions with our individual guests to ensure you feel safe and comfortable. Please let us know if you have any concerns and we'll work with our caterers.
