Finally it's happening!!

Time to celebrate. Steve and I met back in the Fall of 1999 when a mutual friend asks us to participate in her choir's rehearsal, after that some of us stayed after to discuss the events of the upcoming concert. When it came around to me giving my opinion, I expressed that the group of guys rapping was not a necessary part of the show, I was partially talking to Steve and his group. Steve just looked at me from across the table with a light smirk and shook his head. Two weeks later we would cross paths in a rainstorm where he at asked me if I needed a ride home after seeing me sitting at the bus stop one night after class. Just before he drops me at the corner of my home, he gave his phone number, I call him three weeks later after finding a small note in my mailbox from him wondering why I had not called. We kept a close friendship while he attended school in NC. It was during that time we found a closeness with each other and started a relationship. In 2003 we welcomed, our first child and Steve had asked me to marry him, but I was not ready, so we decided to raise our child together, but like most young couples living together for the first time with a young child was not easy. We struggled in those years with each other and the life we wanted for ourselves, but in 2009 we had our second child. The next year we decided to part ways and raise our kid’s parents, it was an emotional moment in our lives together but we both knew it was necessary. And for eight years we raised the boys and grow within ourselves separately. In 2018 I had a health scare that placed me in the hospital for a week. Steve flew in from GA to be with me and the kids. He stayed by myside during recovery and we started to build our bond again. In December of 2019 Steve left a letter on my pillow and in that letter, he expressed how much he love us as a couple and that he never wanted to lose us again. As turned to find him on his knee with a ring. I said Yes. Time define love for us.
