Steve and Ola met unexpectedly on a train in July 2021 through a mutual friend. Although the train journey was very short, it marked the beginning of their love story. They dated for only five months before Ola moved back to Australia in January 2022 (a decision made before they met), so they continued their relationship long-distance. Despite living apart in two of the furthest cities in the world, their love for each other only grew stronger. Steve and Ola met every 4-5 months, either in Perth, New York, and once halfway in beautiful Hawaii. After 18 months, Ola moved back to New York so they could build their life together, and by December, they were engaged. Steve and Ola are so excited to celebrate and share this next step in their story with family and friends.
