Alexa and MG have been best friends for fifteen years now; a friendship that took off from a community production of Annie. They quickly bonded over their irreverent senses of humor and similar tastes in music, establishing the foundation of their friendship. Together they've attended countless concerts: including MG's first, four Lollapaloozas, two Pitchfork Music Festivals, and five Vampire Weekend shows. Though they've lived in separate cities for nearly ten years now, their friendship has never wavered. Alexa lives in Chicago with her sweet cat, Indigo.
David McCune
Best Man
Dave and Steve have been best friends for Steve's entire life, because they are brothers! He is 13 years older than Steve, so he's always been the cool older brother that Steve could count on. When Steve was young, he would often spend quality time with Dave by playing video games, and listening to music together. Even when Steve was an annoying middle schooler or teenager, they still got along, and never really fought. Dave always made time for his younger brother; whether it was when he was coming home from college in Steve’s teenage years, or back in town from his home in Chicago as they grew older, which was something that has always meant a lot to Steve. Dave recently moved to Carmel, Indiana (which is awesome because now they can spend even more time together).
Celine Dela Llana

Celine and MG were introduced by Megan Maxey at a collage making party, summer of 2022. Their connection was forged over a shared taste in music and sense of humor, as well as an expansive love of food. Celine's skill as a musician opened a window for "jam sessions" with the Megans, an experience for which they've made a collaborative playlist of songs to learn together. She was instrumental in introducing MG and Steve, down to helping both plan what to wear on their first date. Celine lives in Chicago with her sister, Nell, and their four cats, Lilith, Lucifer, Motley, and Abba; although she frequently visits Indy to see her family and boyfriend, Hsin.
Dr. Ben Shurina

Ben and Steve have known each other for 26 years. They first met on the school playground and bonded over their very active imaginations, building with legos and various other toys, and playing outside. As they got older, they stayed close friends, despite going to different high schools. They continued to share interests in video games, food and cooking, offbeat movies, music, and board games. In adulthood, these shared interests have expanded into a mutual love of science and woodworking. Ben has always been a mainstay in Steve’s life, with his love of knowledge, learning, and creating, influencing who Steve is today. Ben lives in Troy, New York with his wife Anna, and ball python Lola.
Megan Maxey

Though Megan and MG met in fourth grade, their friendship took off in high school. They found a shared love for both music and art, enough to work on group projects together across a handful of classes. This led to rooming together their freshman year at Purdue, where they grew closer over impromptu movie nights and trips down to their dorm's first floor grill. When they reconnected in Indianapolis post-grad, Megan not only introduced MG to two of her closest friends, Megan Pentecost and Celine, but also helped introduce MG and Steve. She lives in Indy with her husband, Noah, and their two cats, Mavis and Mew.
Maxwell Mills-Groninger

Max and Steve met in college at ΑΧΣ professional chemistry fraternity. With his hearty demeanor and ability to recount stories in the most hilarious way, Max fills the room with his presence. Max and Steve became fast friends, and eventually roommates in college. They could often be found after class or on weekends, winding down by sharing a beer and a funny story with each other. Max lives in Winamac, IN with his wife Katey.
Megan Pentecost

Megan and MG were introduced in the spring of 2022 by fellow bridal party member, Megan Maxey. They quickly connected over a shared taste in music and an interest in local markets and crafts. Their bond grew over frequent, long walks up and down the Monon Trail; a perk of living two miles apart. Though they've both since moved house, they continue to cement memories over puzzles, crafts, concerts, and now book club. Megan also played a role in MG and Steve's introduction, kickstarting the plan to set them up. Megan lives in Indy with her fiancé, Karch, their two cats, Eloise and Kasper, and their lively puppy, Clover.
Dr. Matt Grindle

Matt and Steve also met in college at ΑΧΣ professional chemistry fraternity. With Matt, Steve could always count on an interesting conversation about anything under the sun, and a smile from his infectious laugh. Steve and Grindle bonded over music, and would often catch a punk show and a drink at the Spot Tavern together. Matt recently moved to Pittsburgh, PA with his wife Maddie and dog Roxy.
