Yes we are registered at both Bed, Bath and Beyond and Target under Mayra and Steve.
There is no need to wear a ballgown or tux, but it’s still a wedding! Cocktail, please. Make sure to bring comfy shoes to dance the night away!
In theory, the ceremony will start at 5 p.m. But all of you KNOW Steve and Mayra! Then again, they will both be getting ready on site so they may surprise us all! We ask that you plan to arrive at least 30 minutes early so that you are able to park your car and get to your seats before the bride comes down the aisle!
Whatever you do DO NOT use Waze, Google Maps or Mapquest to get to the venue. Follow the directions included in your invitation. The above website will send you down a LONG UNPAVED dirt road. The directions provided send you down a much shorter unpaved road that takes you directly to where parking is. If you have misplaced your directions: From all parts north of Temecula Take the I-15 Freeway South. Exit West (left) onto Rancho California Road. From all parts south of Temecula Take the I-15 Freeway North. Exit East (right) onto Rancho California Road. In 8 miles turn right onto Glen Oaks Road. Continue on Glen Oaks Road for 2 miles. Turn left onto Mesa Road. In 3/4 mile turn right onto 2nd dirt road on your right. Follow the short dirt road to pavement. Follow the signs to parking. YOU MADE IT!
There is a large parking lot at the top of the hill on pavement and in a dirt lot as well. There will be parking attendants who will help you park. PLEASE BE KIND TO THEM! They are guests as well who have volunteered to stand in the SUN and HEAT with NO SHADE to do us this MONUMENTAL favor. PLEASE Thank them for their Sacrifice. ALSO...DO NOT PARK on any of the dirt roads. The neighbors will complain, call the police, we WILL GET FINED, You could get TOWED! You have been warned!
There are many hotels, motels, B&Bs and other housing options in Temecula. Both the wedding and reception are outdoors. We have a lovely grass covered, shaded site for the day. The ceremony is hard pack dirt/gravel. There will be a dance floor. However, we will be walking grass, so ladies please keep that in mind as you select your shoes for the day. You might want to bring flats to change into for dancing. The weather is somewhat unpredictable, it can be breezy during the day and it can be cool at night. So gents bring a jacket, ladies bring a sweater or shawl. Ladies, you might also want to bring a sun hat for the day.
Yes we do: #Steve&Mayra2018 Please include that on any photos you post so we can see what happened that day! We also ask that you be courteous to our Photographer and Videographer and not get in the way of them doing their job and hold your flashes to not interfere with their lighting. We will be happy to hold a pose for a few more seconds for that extra shot. Thanks for asking!
We plan on dancing the night away til 11p! Music will be lowered a bit at 10p though as a courtesy to the neighbors!
We will be serving Mexican street tacos, beans, and rice as well as mulitas and quesadillas and bacon wrapped hot dogs. There will be cold agua fresca to drink and an open bar serving 2 signature craft beers, an IPA and a chocolate hazelnut porter, and brandied lemonade while supplies last. There will also be a bottle of wine at your table.
The operative word is hot! However, we have taken THAT into consideration which is why the ceremony does not start until 5pm. However, please keep in mind that it does get breezy at our site in the afternoon and WILL cool down. We advise that the ladies bring a sweater or shawl just in case. We WILL have heaters on hand just in case!
To allow all guests to relax and enjoy themselves, we have chosen for our wedding day to be adults only and we request you leave your young ones at home. Please contact us with any questions! We thank you for your understanding and hope arrangements can be made that allow you to still attend our big day.
Temperatures tend to dip a bit at night, and since the reception will be outside you might want to bring a jacket or wrap. However there will also be heaters to help keep guests warm.
