This is a good question, one that we have thought long and hard about. We are planning on having spaces for each family and folks that are of the same "household", friends or couples traveling together in a setting where everyone can mingle at a safe distance with other groups from different "households" I italicize households because I am going to leave that up to you guys to determine who that includes for you. The venue is strictly outdoors which makes achieving this relatively easy. For the ceremony we will have assigned seating for each family, group, etc...again, plenty of room for us to spread out and celebrate safely and still enjoy ourselves.
Covid is not invited to our wedding. In an effort to minimize the potential exposure to it we are taking our social distancing seriously. We ask that you wear a mask when you are less than 6 feet away from your household (we will let our guests decide who that is). We will be providing masks but you can wear the one you bring if you prefer. We will also be providing hand sanitizer and hand washing stations. We will have assigned seating to minimize confusion and help everyone feel comfortable. Food items will be served to our guests on compostable settings (not our first choice, but it will be good for our garden next summer). We are still working out some of the other details and will update this page soon.
Right off North Cascades Highway 20! no really, it's about 0.9 miles further East from the Washington Pass overlook, Google Maps will direct you to Kangaroo Temple Trailhead, which is essentially the "hairpin" I speak of. Here you will find a great spot to watch climbers ascend Liberty Bell, North or South Early Winter Spires or Concord Tower. We will be climbing Liberty Bell with our photographer to capture some gorgeous summit shots in our wedding garb. There is ample parking at the hairpin on either side of the highway as well as several hiking trails with beautiful views.
We are trying to keep our guest list within the current confines that we are limited to for outdoor weddings. If there is room for an extra guest, then happily yes. Otherwise please only bring who is listed on your invite.
The short answer is no, please. there are 2 dogs that have been pre-approved to attend and we would like to keep it at that. thank you for understanding.
