FAQS & Burning Questions

We realize that having a wedding in the middle of a pandemic brings up all sorts of questions, comments and concerns...Ultimately, the reason why we have decided to forge ahead amidst Covid, is simply because we want this. We don't know what the future may hold, so why wait? We feel that because our wedding will is small and outdoors, it will likely be a much safer activity than going grocery shopping in the current climate. I'm sure many of you have your own thoughts and feelings about this decision and we can respect that. We understand if some of you may not be able to attend and it does not matter the reason, know that if you received an invite, it's because we love you and want to share this day with you. I hope that this page helps to quell any fears, questions or judgements? and please feel free to reach out with your own questions, requests or ideas. So much LOVE to each one of you.
Question

How does one social distance at a wedding?

Answer

This is a good question, one that we have thought long and hard about. We are planning on having spaces for each family and folks that are of the same "household", friends or couples traveling together in a setting where everyone can mingle at a safe distance with other groups from different "households" I italicize households because I am going to leave that up to you guys to determine who that includes for you. The venue is strictly outdoors which makes achieving this relatively easy. For the ceremony we will have assigned seating for each family, group, etc...again, plenty of room for us to spread out and celebrate safely and still enjoy ourselves.

Question

What precautionary measures will you be taking to ensure against Covid 19?

Answer

Covid is not invited to our wedding. In an effort to minimize the potential exposure to it we are taking our social distancing seriously. We ask that you wear a mask when you are less than 6 feet away from your household (we will let our guests decide who that is). We will be providing masks but you can wear the one you bring if you prefer. We will also be providing hand sanitizer and hand washing stations. We will have assigned seating to minimize confusion and help everyone feel comfortable. Food items will be served to our guests on compostable settings (not our first choice, but it will be good for our garden next summer). We are still working out some of the other details and will update this page soon.

Question

Where exactly is the tailgate party at the hairpin located?

Answer

Right off North Cascades Highway 20! no really, it's about 0.9 miles further East from the Washington Pass overlook, Google Maps will direct you to Kangaroo Temple Trailhead, which is essentially the "hairpin" I speak of. Here you will find a great spot to watch climbers ascend Liberty Bell, North or South Early Winter Spires or Concord Tower. We will be climbing Liberty Bell with our photographer to capture some gorgeous summit shots in our wedding garb. There is ample parking at the hairpin on either side of the highway as well as several hiking trails with beautiful views.

Question

Can I bring a friend?

Answer

We are trying to keep our guest list within the current confines that we are limited to for outdoor weddings. If there is room for an extra guest, then happily yes. Otherwise please only bring who is listed on your invite.

Question

Can I bring my pet?

Answer

The short answer is no, please. there are 2 dogs that have been pre-approved to attend and we would like to keep it at that. thank you for understanding.

Question

I still have questions/concerns that were not answered, how can I get ahold of you?

Answer

Please feel free to call, text or email me with any questions or concerns that were not addressed here. laurellrey@yahoo.com or 209-304-4472 Note: I will not be answering phone calls on our wedding day.
