Things To Do

For those of you who have not been to Crested Butte it is beautiful. We got engaged in these mountains and have some recommendations for things to do. One of Steve's closest friends Jeremy owns a Jeep guiding company in CB. Check out his website below and book a tour! The hiking here is fabulous. Judd Falls is a good short hike just outside Gothic. For an adventurous mountain drive check out Paradise Divide. It is a one lane dirt mountain pass but well worth the view from the top. For a less adventurous drive check out Lake Irwin outside Crested Butte. Bring your fly rod and fish the Slate, East, Taylor or Gunnison Rivers. You can also take a lift ride up Mt Crested Butte. In Salida we highly recommend taking a trip to the Great Sand Dunes National Park. It is like stepping into another world. Well worth the hour and a half drive. Maybe on Sunday. There is horse back riding available near Salida as well.
