We were facebook friends but didn't know each other. Steve slipped into my DM with a very sweet message about one of my inspirational posts from my upcoming book about getting through life's adversities. We texted back and forth, I told him we should grab coffee sometime and he replied, "lets grab wine this Friday". We had our first date on January 28th, 2022. The wine date turned into a dinner date, and we've been wining and dining ever since.

We spent Christmas with David, Haley and Maggie (my family) in Virginia. On December 22, unbeknownst to me, Steve asked David for his blessing before leaving for our Airbnb that night. Once we got back to our place, Steve poured us a glass of wine and then he got down on one knee and asked if I would marry him. Of course, I said yes about 10 times!! It was absolutely perfect.
