Maid of Honor
Abby and Hope met in law school and quickly became inseparable after taking a summer class together in 2020. From then on, if you saw one of them on campus, the other was never far behind. After graduation, they became roommates in Hartford, survived bar prep side-by-side, passed the bar together, and officially began their careers as criminal defense attorneys together. Throughout that year, the two helped each other through the highs and lows of life and set the cornerstone of their careers. Since then, the two have remained the closest of friends, spending time watching their favorite show, Farmer Wants a Wife, going to the gym together, and shopping at various craft fairs across the state. Abby is truly the sister Hope always needed.
Best Man
Joe is Steve’s big brother and best friend. They met on the day Steve was born. Growing up, Joe did participate in his fair amount of brotherly hazing (their parents have the videos to prove it). Nevertheless, throughout their childhood, Joe was always a role model for Steve From sports and video games at a young age, to showing Steve the ways of college (some might say at too young of an age), he has always been there. Even now as they've gotten older, Joe is still someone Steve looks up to (figuratively not literally).
Bridesmaid
Hope and Sarah met in undergrad, where the two had similar paths. They were orientation leaders together and also joined the same sorority (Delta Delta Delta, can I help ya, help ya, help ya?). When they ended up at the same law school, the two knew it was fate. Bonding over countless hours of studying, reading caselaw, and editing briefs, the two became fast friends. Outside of law school they also both share a love of reading and even started writing a book together!
Groomsman
Nico and Steve met in high school. There's only one word to describe Nico, Italian. Nico is one of the more adventurous of Steve's friends. He's the type of guy to call you a Friday morning to ask if you want to go to the Kentucky Derby on Saturday. Over the years, he has kept Steve on his toes with whatever idea he comes up with next. Full of ideas but not so full of plans, he'll keep you guessing.
Bridesmaid
Hope and Julie met in college when they were randomly assigned as roommates — proof that sometimes the housing lottery actually works. Little did they know that random assignment would give them best friends for life. They ended up living together all four years of undergrad and have been best friends ever since. Julie also played a pivotal role in Hope and Steve’s love story because Julie would always come and hangout with the two of them at Steve's room in Irma. She witnessed the early stages of the relationship before either of them probably realized what was happening. Truly, without Julie, who knows where Hope and Steve would be today… probably still sitting in Steve’s room pretending they didn't like each other.
Groomsman
Ken is one of Steve's oldest friends, dating back to their time together at St. Joes. They initially become friends playing soccer together and that friendship only strengthened through their 0-11-1 (tie) season in their senior year of high school. When you struggle through adversity like that, there’s little else that can come in the way of a friendship.
Bridesmaid
Julia and Hope have been friends forever. Growing up just two streets down from each other, the two spent their childhoods together. From doing gymnastics at the little gym, to riding the bus together, all the way through high school, Julia and Hope were always together. Although they were separated for college, they spent every free vacation and summer hanging out, watching dumb scary movies, and eating junk food. As they got older their bond got stronger, and Hope was a bridesmaid in Julia’s wedding in May of 2025.
Groomsman
John and Steve met freshman year of college, instantly bonding over their passion for accounting. Over the next four years, that bond grew through intramural sports, Fortnite and the occasional night out. John might not give a first impression of being a partier, but you give him two beers and I promise you'll see something you've never seen on a dance floor before. Final quick note about John, he is easy to get along with, just don't touch the hair.
Bridesmaid
Kaylyn and Hope met at their law school orientation when they sat next to each other and quickly became friends. Throughout law school, the two would spend endless hours studying together, laughing from the delirium of reading through caselaw (specifically, Stambovsky v. Ackley, 169 A.D.2d 254 (N.Y. App. Div. 1991), commonly known as the Ghostbusters ruling), and talking about their life goals. Kaylyn also introduced Hope to Connecticut living and taught her to love New Haven. Kaylyn now lives in New York City and is *slowly* forcing Hope to love New York as well.
Groomsman
Another one of Steve's high school friends, Tylor and Steve have been friends for close to a decade. Tylor is one of Steve's favorite golf partners because they're equally bad (although both better than Zolt) and can struggle through together. He always brings the good vibes and is ready for a party! Check him out on the dance floor later in the night.
Bridesman
Chris and Hope have been friends throughout undergrad, law school, and their careers as public defenders. More than that, though, Chris and Hope trained for (and ran) two half marathons together, bonding themselves through the pain of running hundreds of miles together. Chris and Hope also share an unrivaled love of the Twilight movies (team Edward for anyone who’s invested).
Groomsman
Andrew, a.k.a Zolt, and Steve have been friends since high school. Nothing grows relationships like adversity and Steve and Zolt experienced that through multiple years of basketball tryouts. As the injuries have piled up over time, those hours spent together on the basketball court have turned into hours spent on golf courses. While Zolt might not have the reputation of being the life of the party, he will bring the entertainment to the party with his band. Zolt's autobiography title: Golf and Guitars.
