On February 4, 2017, fate brought us together at an old bar on Granby Street in Norfolk called Scotty Quix. As the night was winding down, Steve’s cousin came over and told me (Domii) that his homeboy was interested. A few moments later, Steve finally walked up, and I couldn’t help but ask, “Why were you nervous to talk to me?” We exchanged numbers that night, and just three days later, we went on our first date to the zoo and for ice cream. Since that day, we’ve talked every single day. From the very beginning, our connection felt natural. We spent our days talking, laughing, and learning each other—trying new things and making memories. On April 9, 2017, we made it official. A few years later, we took a leap and moved to another state together, embracing new experiences and challenges as a team. After COVID, we decided to return to Virginia, where our love continued to grow. Through it all, we’ve found a perfect balance—one of us is easygoing, and the other is a planner, but somehow, we just work. We support each other, challenge each other, and most importantly, we have fun together. On May 7, 2023, Steve asked me to spend forever with him, and of course, I said yes! Now, as we get ready to say “I do,” we are most excited about blending our families, celebrating holidays together, and starting new traditions of our own. We can't wait for this next chapter and to share it with all of you!
