We met via a dating app, and the first thing I said in my characteristically direct way to Sterling was "So, how do you feel about Jesus?" He responded in his characteristic thorough, humorous and witty style the various ways that Christ is central to his life and I was immediately intrigued. Our first date an hour turned into six as we talked into the night and by date number four (he arrived wearing slacks and a nice shirt, flowers in hand and a reservation made) I knew he was a keeper! Thankfully, he felt the same way about me and now we get to spend the rest of our lives serving our King as one. Thank you for gathering around us as a community and helping us to celebrate this joyous occasion!
Sterling proposed during a family trip to Glacier National Park. His family had been co-conspirators and were taking photos and had smuggled along champagne. He got down on one knee on a purple rock island surrounded by brilliant blue icy cold water. Once the shock wore off that we were getting married, the excitement set in and I couldn't be happier to be a Woomert in less than two months!
