Travel Note
For guests traveling from out of town, the best airports to fly into are Washington D.C. DCA-Reagan National Airport or IAD- Dulles International Airport. Both airports offer plenty of flight options and are about 1.5 hours from Fredericksburg, depending on traffic. Richmond (RIC) is also an optional alternative, also about 1.5 hours away, I think there are just less flight options.
Travel Note
We recommend booking your Airbnb or hotel accommodations in the Fredericksburg, VA area, since it’s the closest city to our venue and will be the most convenient for getting to all wedding weekend events. Fredericksburg is located about 1–1.5 hours south of Washington, D.C., making it an easy drive from DCA or IAD airports. The area offers plenty of affordable options, including hotels, historic inns, and cozy Airbnbs, so guests can pick what fits their style and budget. Staying in Fredericksburg also puts you near local attractions like Historic Downtown Fredericksburg, Chatham Manor, the Rappahannock River, Central Park shopping and dining, and the Fredericksburg & Spotsylvania National Military Park perfect if you want to explore or make a mini weekend getaway out of the trip. And if you’re interested in doing some sightseeing, Washington, D.C. is close enough to enjoy iconic museums, monuments, and great food. Guests can also choose to stay closer to Washington, D.C. in areas like Arlington or Alexandria, but those hotels tend to be more expensive, and the drive to Fredericksburg for the wedding events can take 1–1.5+ hours depending on traffic. For convenience and to be near all the wedding activities, Fredericksburg will be the easiest option, but both choices are available depending on your plans. We recommend booking early, as fall is a popular season in Virginia and rooms can fill quickly
