We were going on a weekend trip up north to Houghton Lake with Austin's family. As a group we decided beforehand that we wanted to spend one of the days on Mackinac Island. Little did I know Austin was working up a plan to propose. After hiking 5 miles along the trails of Mackinac Island. Austin wanted to stop on a little secluded beach. No one was on the beach and the whole family wanted to put their feet in the water. I was absolutely on board! I stopped to take a picture of these beautiful white flowers when I got distracted by a bumblebee that landed on a neighboring flower. In these few precious moments Austin hurried to get the ring from his dad's pocket. As I finished snapping a few pictures I made my way onto the beach and the girls had separated to the right and the boys to the left leaving me in the middle waiting for someone to tell me what we were doing next. No one seemed to be in a hurry to go anywhere or do anything, so I went to feel the water. As I began standing back up Austin walks towards me... and he proceeded to make me the happiest I have ever been by asking me the easiest question I have ever answered.
