We met August 25th 2017, move-in day at Stony Brook University. Shannon and her roommate were coming down the hall to meet a friend from orientation and Shannon walked into Nick's dorm room by mistake. He was reading Spare Parts, the freshman summer reading assignment. They talked about their love of music and Shannon invited Nick to play games with her roommates back at her dorm. Nick and Shannon started studying together everyday and taking walks around campus every night. On September 22nd, Nick asked Shannon to be his girlfriend at the Staller Steps.

Shannon and Nick had many fun adventures over the 2 years that they dated and had started talking about their future. Shannon would be graduating from Stony Brook University in May and Nick decided that it was time to make their commitment to one another official. On December 31st 2019, they went to their favorite restaurant, Marc Forgione, to celebrate Shannon's favorite holiday, New Year's Eve (or as Shannon called it in 2019, "New Decades Eve"). Before dinner, they went for a walk in Central Park and Nick asked Shannon to marry him near the Central Park Boathouse and she said yes!

We are so excited to have our family and friends by our side as we celebrate our love and start our lives together as Mr. & Mrs. Sterge! We can't wait to see what the future holds!
