In 7th grade, Stephanie was assigned a seat next to Joselin. Both younger selves were introverted souls. However, Joselin did not know that Stephanie would become her biggest yapper once she was comfortable in their friendship. Joselin is her go-to person when she needs blunt advice, crafty times, and beauty tips. We are told that we are the same person, just a different font, but Stephanie thinks they balance each other out. Their friendship is 16 years old and now consists of monthly girl time, double dates, and fun themed parties. Stephanie loves her so much!!
Jon Kerr

Henry and Jon met as roommates and immediately bonded over their shared interests in baking, cooking and music. The recipes they perfected together were the same ones Henry used to make sweet treats to bring to Stephanie when they started dating. Before they found their own places, Jon and Henry weathered the pandemic together, battled a negligent landlord and explored several campsites around Chicago with Jon driving and Henry on his motorcycle. Today they still find time to connect over their favorite TV shows, video games and of course, sharing pictures of their cats.

Who knew that Stephanie and Amber, who were randomized college roommates, would be friends for 10+ years? All because they both chose the dorm room closest to the dorm bathroom. Besides Henry, she is the only other person that Stephanie loves sharing a home with. In college, these two old souls loved watching movies, cooking together while listening to Etta James or eating loads of Jimmy John’s subs, and going on mini-small-town adventures together. Amber is finishing up her Ph.D. in Psychology in Colorado, and although they have been states apart -it never feels like it. Stephanie loves her so much!!

Henry and Scott first met during their internship downtown and ever since their first Friday afternoon hangout, became fast friends and eventually roommates along with Jon in their first apartment in Pilsen. At their first jobs, Henry ended up on the same floor as Scott and could often be found taking coffee breaks together to pass the time. After work, they were partners in crime at the local comic book store's card game nights. Despite living in different cities now, whenever Henry and Scott are together they pick up their friendship where they left off without missing a beat.

Stephanie did not want a baby sister, but she knows now she definitely needed one. Cassie reminds Stephanie to live life to the fullest and embrace chaos as it comes. Something Stephanie’s A-type personality definitely needs. Cassie’s stories always bring the biggest laughs (and worries) to her life. Stephanie and Cassie have come a long way from bonking each other's head with the home remote to now telling each other our deepest darkest secrets. Stephanie loves her baby girl so much!!

Henry and Alex have been friends as long as they can remember -- according to their mothers they even shared a hospital room when they were born. Although Henry moved away from Washington in middle school, they would go on to study the same major in college and develop an identical taste in cars despite never speaking about either until they reconnected after college. Today Henry and Alex can still be found playing games together just like when they were little.

Stephanie’s oldest siblings (although always confused as her youngest), and to quote her eldest sibling describing their relationship “the best of friends and their most hated enemy”. Stephanie has learned how to be open, kind, and understanding from their sweet oldest sibling. Although only 3 years apart, Alex was her biggest advocate and protector at home. While Stephanie butts heads with all her siblings, she does not play about them and knows what unconditional love is because of them. Alex may also be the funniest and silliest little guy she knows. Stephanie loves this funny clown so much!
