Split Airport (SPU)

This is the closest airport to fly into. From the airport you will need to take a ferry to the island of Hvar. You can fly to Split airport from JFK or Newark with a stop in between. Typically, the first flight will be anywhere from 6 - 7 hours (depending where you fly to) and the next flight is anywhere from 2 - 2.5 hours. If you would like a direct flight, please see info for flying into Dubrovnik. We recommend that you consider the ferry times before booking your flights as the ferry schedule may not tie in with your arrival time. **There are two harbors on the Island of Hvar, so please make sure to book your transport to Hvar town and not Stari Grad.

Dubrovnik Airport (DBV)

AKA Kings Landing for the Game of Thrones fans. You can fly direct to Dubrovnik airport from Newark in around 9 hours. We recommend that you consider the ferry times before booking your flights as the ferry schedule may not tie in with your arrival time. **There are two harbors on the Island of Hvar, so please make sure to book your transport to Hvar town and not Stari Grad.

Ferry | Split PORT to Hvar

* NOTE: If you book with a hotel, they will arrange your pick up to and from the ferry! * It is about a 40 minute taxi drive from the airport to the Split ferry port. Travel options include Uber, taxi, or bus. The taxi companies in Split include Eko taxi, Cammeo, and Radio Taxi Split. Bus tickets can be purchased at the airport.
