Flight

PVD

This is the best airport to fly into. The airport is about 12 miles south of downtown Providence.

Flight

BOS

If flying to PVD isn't feasible, flying to BOS is another great option. Amtrak and the MBTA Commuter Rail connect Boston to downtown Providence.

Travel Note

Uber/Lyft/Taxi

If you fly into PVD, your best bet is to take an Uber, Lyft, or taxi to downtown Providence. The downtown area is walkable, so if you're staying downtown, you won't need a rental car.

Train

Amtrak

If you fly into BOS, this is one option to consider to get to downtown Providence.

Train

MBTA Commuter Rail

An alternative to Amtrak, the MBTA Commuter Rail connects Boston to downtown Providence.
