Both hired in the summer of 2014, Steven moved to greater Boston for a Neuroscience postdoc and Sophie got her first job out of college in Research Business Operations. If you ask Steven, he'll say that Sophie asked him out to coffee (using free coffee coupons given out to new hires). If you ask Sophie, she'll say that Steven kept giving her that huge, giddy smile at work and it kinda creeped her out. Weird thing is, when they met, they found out that they were both born and raised in SoCal, 20 miles apart. Later in 2015, both reconnected at Cornerstone Church's "Lost and Found" retreat on the last night. From there, late nights at work turned into dinners, then morning coffee, and eventually lunch breaks at a white, nondescript Chinese food truck on Main St over the next year. Sophie's boss became a fan of the relationship, saying "I can't think of anything better that came as a result of Pfizer Neuroscience."
