Quick Details

In the last few weeks-LITERALLY just a few weeks, we changed our wedding plans from Texas to Mexico. It has been chaotic, to say the least, but we think we have solidified the most important details. We will be sending out more information later on, but for now, if you are planning on attending we recommend booking your room before July 24th 2022, so you can take advantage of the group rate! If you go to the travel section- the link to the booking website is there. Our travel specialist Colleen will be able to help you with any questions you may have. If you have any trouble accessing the link, please let us know!

The Proposal

Steph's version

We love adventure and date nights. So, when Rob mentioned he had an adventure date planned, I didn't think twice about it. We were out and about all day long and he was super casual. When we got home from our errands, Rob pretended he left something in his car and went back while I went up to our apartment. A few minutes later, he called me asking me to look in his nightstand drawer for a credit card that he couldn't find, I was so confused because for those of you that know Rob, you KNOW he is a neat freak, and everything has its place. I opened his drawer to find two dresses and a sweet note that ended with "pick one of these two dresses and be ready by 5 pm". I was so excited and shocked that the dresses were both 100% my style and for a split second I thought "maybe he IS proposing tonight", but then I thought about the whole day and how cool, calm, and collected he was and figured "no way, not tonight". Then it hit me-- the note said to be ready by 5 pm and it was 4:30 pm. I started running around frantically, when Kylie walks in super casual and just hangs out while I lose my mind. When I asked her if she knew anything, the sneak played it cool and acted confused. Right at 5 pm I get a phone call, and the driver says they are outside ready to drive me to the location. Now I'm in panic mode, half-dressed, makeup a mess, hair in a bun, heels unstrapped- I run out. All while Ky is following me recording- NOW I'm suspicious and convinced he's proposing. The driver takes me to the marina, and as I get out, I see him-- dressed in a suit, card and flowers in hand, looking dreamy, waiting for me on the dock. We board a beautiful sailboat, are served a delicious meal, watch the sunset, and although I am enjoying the night, in the back of my mind I'm bummed out that the sail is almost over and he hasn't even hinted at anything. Just as the sailboat was getting ready to head back Rob hands me the most romantic card he has ever written (and let me just say his cards are always sentimental, one of my fav traits of his). At that moment the Captain sends someone to take our photos in the sunset; already emotional from the card we start taking pictures, and suddenly the love of my life is down on one knee mumbling god knows what but I said YES!

The Proposal

Rob's Version

So...Here is the real version of the story LOL. I was super nervous leading up to this date, as all I wanted was to make it as perfect and memorable as possible. See, the day was not about me; it was about Steph, and making sure she knew how lucky I am to have her in my life, and how blessed I would be to have her pick me forever. The planning was stressful as I was relying on mother nature to make sure all was in order for this special day. All I cared about was that it wouldn't rain since I had planned the sailboat at sunset. I found the right yacht, set up the private chef to cook dinner on the boat, and ordered the flowers. The day was perfect other than me sweating right through my suit! Those that know me, know that this is a normal occurrence, it's just my stellar metabolism. I found a way to get out of the house and had already planted the dresses I bought for her, with the help of Steph's BF, Michelle, to make sure I picked a good one! I had my princess Kylie in on it as well, and snuck away to head to the lake. I shot Steph a text to look in the drawer for a CC I "forgot" with my little love note to get ready for a special night out. I figured she knew what was going to happen at this point but hey, she didn't know how I was doing it! When she arrived at the dock, I had roses in hand and was waiting for her to walk down to me. All I was thinking was how did I get so lucky to have this woman in my life? She was glowing, partially from how damn hot it was, and the other, well, I assume she was happy to see her man looking good! HAHA. We went to the boat and had a great evening watching the sunset on the lake, eating dinner, and enjoying each other's company. Once the time came, I got down on one knee and was utterly lost for words, literally. I was finally able to get those 4 words out of "Will you marry me" and of course, she said YES! One other side note, I put it on the wrong hand. BUT... it's all about the intent right?? Steph quickly corrected me, as she always does, in the middle of me sweating and crying, but it was definitely a moment to remember and one of the best days of my life. Love ya baby, and can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you!!
