Amanda and her bridesmaid Marissa were becoming close friends when Marissa invited her out for St. Patrick’s Day in Parma. Amanda said “Parma?! I’ve never really been out that way, but sure I’ll go”, and it turned out to be the best decision she ever made. That night at Tradesman Tavern on State Road, Amanda spotted a guy working behind the bar, and (with a little liquid courage) introduced herself by confidently guessing his name was “Steve.” He let her guess for a while what his real name was before telling her it was Brian. The two quickly hit it off, bonding over Irish car bombs and laughing at the fact Marissa couldn’t do one. Naturally, Amanda went on a mission to find a Keno machine. Brian spotted her and helped her find it, and she boldly asked for his number… and luckily, he texted her that same night. After a first date at the Happy Moose in Mentor a week later, things moved quickly. They spent more and more time together, and before long, Amanda—who always said she’d never get married—was telling her friends, “I’m going to marry this guy.” On July 5, 2025, during her family’s annual Fourth of July party, they went for a ride on a four-wheeler. After a very convincing “I need to pee” stop, Amanda turned around to find Brian on one knee. She said yes, and they returned to celebrate with family—including Brian’s niece, Azalea—marking the start of their next chapter together.
