Our ceremony is in downtown Indianapolis and the reception is just a short, 20-minute drive away. We highly recommend staying downtown and encourage you to consider booking at the Omni Severin Hotel, where we have a room block. If you prefer to stay in a suburb, Brownsburg, where we reside, provides easy access to downtown and is a quick drive from the reception site.
Yes! May 3, 2025, is also the date of the 500 Festival Mini Marathon. More than 20,000 people will be running in Indianapolis that morning and, accordingly, we expect hotel accommodations to be hard to come by the closer we get to the wedding date. We highly recommend that if you will need a hotel in the Indianapolis area on either May 2 or May 3, that you book your room as soon as possible. Additionally, if you plan on exploring Indianapolis or surrounding areas by car on May 3, you may want to research the mini marathon route and find accommodations that are outside of the street closures.
We have limited the inclusion of children to our family and our wedding party. While we appreciate that many of you have young children, we hope you will understand our decision and be able to make other arrangements for child care.
Cocktail and semi-formal attire are appropriate.
This decision will be made based on interest from our guests. If you wish to have transportation provided from the Indiana State Capitol to Half Liter BBQ and back to downtown Indianapolis, we ask that you add a note to your RSVP. Anyone who makes such a note will be notified prior to the wedding as to whether transportation will be running and any applicable details. Indianapolis has limited taxi availability, but ride-shares are regularly available both downtown and in Broad Ripple.
