While we love your little ones, this is strictly an adults only occasion with an exception to those in the bridal party.
In the Greek Orthodox tradition, vows are not exchanged between the couple during the wedding ceremony. This is because it is understood that the commitment has already been made, through the journey of the relationship and the sacred promise of engagement. The ceremony itself represents the spiritual union of the couple, and the vows are made not to each other, but to God, and in turn, God’s blessings upon their marriage. However, before the ceremony begins, Matthew and Melissa have chosen to share a few personal words of love and appreciation with one another. These are not formal vows, but heartfelt reflections, offered in front of you, their beloved family and friends, the community that brought them together and helped shape who they are today.
