Things To Do

Virginia Museum of Fine Arts

200 N Boulevard, Richmond, VA 23220
, (804) 340-1400

The VMFA has a fantastic permanent collection that is free to browse, and they're open 365 days a year! There's a wonderful happy hour every Friday night. Enjoy the outdoor sculpture gardens while sipping a refreshing rosé.

Maymont

1700 Hampton Street, Richmond, VA 23220
, (804) 358-7166

Maymont has beautiful gardens and is one of our favorite places to take a picnic. Growing up in Richmond, Zoe and her siblings played many games of hide and seek in the bamboo forest. We also loved visiting the bears, eagles, goats, and other animals on the grounds.

Pony Pasture

7310 Riverside Drive, Richmond, VA 23225

Pony Pasture is one of Henson's favorite places for a walk and a dip in the river. It can get a little busy on a summer day, so sometimes you'll find us at the 42nd Street entrance to the James River Park System instead.

Sub Rosa Bakery

620 North 25th Street, Richmond, VA 23223
, (804) 788-7672

According to Zoë (and the NY Times), Sub Rosa's wood-fired heirloom grain breads and pastries are really special. We like them so much, we made a stop there after our chilly sunrise engagement photo shoot.

Charm School

311 West Broad Street, Richmond, VA 23220

Fun flavors (cereal milk! orange cardamom!) and sweet decor. A favorite spot to hit in the summer!
