The Wedding is Still On!

Dear friends and family, Although we are no longer able to spend July 4th together, we are still getting married in a small ceremony with our immediate families at an unbelievably magical home in Lincoln MA. (Thanks Tim!) At the risk of technological meltdown, we're going to stream our vows at the below link: https://youtu.be/LOpG_OmzHdQ. The ceremony will be at 2pm; we would love to have you celebrating with us remotely. Other than that, we had a few of our friends ask if we are registered anywhere. In lieu of any wedding gifts, we’d ask that you consider making a donation to something important to you. For us, that’s Rosie’s Place. Rosie’s Place has helped address food and housing insecurity in our community for over forty-five years. As part of their commitment to open doors, they’ve never accepted government funding – and the support of the community has never been more important. http://www.rosiesplace.org/ Hope to see all of you (remotely) soon, Stephen and Yuliya

Update on our Wedding

Hello dear friends (some of whom are also family), Given the uncertainty around gatherings and travel as the world adapts to a new normal, we've decided to postpone the wedding celebration until next year. This has been a hard decision for us, and we have been in touch with the vendors and plan to reach out soon when we have confirmed the details for next summer. Please stay healthy, Stephen and Yuliya

How we got here.

First comes Max, then comes marriage.

Explosively and incrementally, inextricably and inevitably – we have finally reached the beginning. The momentum of a great first date is supposed to carry you through a series of increasing disappointments until you eventually just give up (or are given up on), but we decided instead to see if an early spark would stand some mothballing. Turns out if you grow as friends, talking about basically everything with increasing curiosity, and if you're lucky – really, really lucky – it does stand, work, and grow. You adopt a little white dog, buy a warm little house. It stands careers and weather. It works better than anything you'd've hoped for except you still can't find good Chinese food delivery in Boston. And your plants keep dying, but everything else grows like the first day. It was not simple, but it was easy; how we got here is a fun story, but where we're going is a grand adventure. Won't you join us for the beginning in the middle?

For all the days along the way
