We are “Jump”ing into forever!

During the Covid pandemic, many people found themselves taking up new hobbies, spending time with family, adopting new dogs, and some learned to navigate working remotely. We found each other. We were both on a dating app and began talking there on May 10, 2020. We call it finding day. Even though we "swiped" each other, the unknowns of the early Covid-19 days made both of us very cautious. We both had kids and parents to consider, and meeting new people in public introduced risk. This meant we spent a lot of time on the phone getting to really know each other before we ever met in person. Our first date finally took place at McCullen park May 29, 2020. We sat outside at a picnic table, 6 feet apart, in masks. Stephen gloved up and asked to hold hands. The date was incredibly romantic - as we talked and nibbled on our Torchy Tacos by battery operated candlelight, we were visited by armadillos, cardinals, and later in the evening the lightening bugs came out and danced around us. We stayed until the park closed. Over the next several months, the dates increased, the nights always ended on the phone together, and before long our families met (and got along!) Four years later, on the anniversary of our Finding Day, Stephen brought Tina to the same park. They ate Torchy's Tacos at a picnic table, but without masks and gloves... and then he proposed. And she said... YES!!!
