Like so many others in this generation, we met online! Due to Terri recently having back surgery and being unable to drive, we spent several weeks talking and getting to know each other. Once Terri was cleared to be out and about, we scheduled our first date at a lovely local Italian restaurant, La Trattoria Tuscano. I think we were both pretty nervous, despite the comfort level that had been reached due to weeks of learning about each other. However, that nervousness quickly faded as it was apparent that we fell into conversation with an ease that surprised us both. It was the best first date either of us had ever been on, and little did we know it would be our last "first date". After a couple of days, Stephen followed up with an invitation to go on a 2nd date, and by the end of that wonderful evening of a movie (La La Land) and dinner, we both knew we had potentially found something special. We had a few more dates, and after a couple of months of dating, Stephen invited Terri to join him in Fort Worth for the weekend while he attended a professional conference. It was there that we feel our love story truly began, as we enjoyed our first road trip together. There were no awkward silences; we never even turned on the radio, but talked the entire way. When Stephen was not busy with the conference, we enjoyed taking in the city of Fort Worth together, with romantic dinners and an evening spent listening to music and dancing at a live jazz club, ending with late night conversations on a park bench in the beautiful town square of downtown Fort Worth. Terri knew by the time that weekend ended that she had found the person she wanted to spend her life with! Flash forward 4 years, we have had ups and downs like any other couple, dealing with blending our families and moving into our first home together, but through it all our love has continue to grow stronger with each passing day. Now, we invite you to join us as we celebrate finding our forever love.
