Please click the RSVP tab and let us know which events you're planning to attend. Earlier is better but all responses are due by February 21st.
We're serving hot drinks at 4:30pm but the actual ceremony begins at 5pm on Saturday March 21st. We plan to begin the ceremony promptly. Please find a detailed schedule of activities including the reception on the Schedule page.
Cocktail fabulous for the Saturday ceremony and reception--it's a gay wedding after all. :) Ties not required but please no jeans. Friday's Welcome Dinner and the Sunday morning brunch are casual.
If the weather holds up, we're planning to have the ceremony itself outside. There will be heaters to help make this possible, and we expect the ceremony to last less than 30 minutes. All other activities will be inside well-heated spaces. :)
The wedding takes place at Mountain Top Resort in Chittenden, Vermont. It's approximately a 3-hour drive from Boston or Hartford, 4 hours from Cape Cod, and 5 hours from NYC. The closest airports are Burlington International (90-minute drive), Albany International (2-hour drive), and Boston Logan (3-hour drive).
Yes! Some guests will choose to attend only the Saturday activities.
No, but the venue in Chittenden Vermont is a bit of a drive from major cities so please be careful if you leave that night. You can attend the ceremony and reception and depart at any time. We're expecting dinner will begin around 7pm. There's an open bar, more late night food, and a DJ. Please be safe and have a designated driver if you plan to drink and drive home the same night.
Yes! You can book a room at the Mountain Top Resort in their main lodge for just Saturday night. They have limited space so book as soon as you can. Or you can stay at a nearby hotel in Rutland, VT (around a 10-15 minute drive) and return the next morning for brunch. Please be safe and have a designated driver if you plan to drink and drive to a Rutland hotel afterwards.
Yes, there's a shuttle for guests staying at guest houses at the Mountain Top Resort. If you're staying at the Inn, all activities are there or at the Barn next door. There's no shuttle for people staying offsite. **Note that there is NO Uber or Lyft in the mountains of central Vermont and taxi service is limited and expensive. Please be extremely careful if you plan to drink and later drive to a different hotel.**
Yes, there are hotels nearby in Rutland (10 to 15-min drive from the resort) and some Airbnbs. **Note that there is NO Uber or Lyft in the mountains of central Vermont and taxi service is limited and expensive. Please be extremely careful if you plan to drink and later drive to a different hotel.** Rooms at the Inn at Mountain Top are literally at the venue so no driving is necessary. And the Mountain Top guest houses surround the venue and there's shuttle service to the Inn.
Yes, just let us know when you RSVP. One of the grooms has a severe tree nut allergy so we're planning a tree nut-free wedding, and will work to accommodate other allergies.
There will be an Italian buffet featuring chicken marsala, meatballs, pasta, roasted garlic and sautéed spinach, and mixed greens salad and an open bar.
