Thank you so much for visiting our wedding website! We are so excited to get married this December in Forsyth Park in Savannah, exactly one year from the date we decided to be together forever. Among the many uncertainties of this year with a pandemic, it has been quite the challenge to plan a wedding where we could safely include loved ones and would not have to wait for months (or longer) to be able to gather as a group. With careful consideration for the health and safety of our families and friends, we have made the decision to be married with a focused group of in-person direct family, with live streaming available via zoom for anyone who would like to be able to join in on our special moment. We do plan on celebrating with our loved ones at large at a party as soon as it is safe and can't wait for when we can see you all again! In the meantime, we love you and thank for your support, kind words, and excitement as we work towards the day we can say "I do!" Love, Stephen and Rachel
The night that we met, I had no plans on going out. One of my roommates was a nurse at a local hospital and was planning a hangout with one of her coworkers at a vintage arcade/bar combo, Through a last-minute change of events, I made a split-second decision to join my friends at the bar! We hung out for a little while playing pac-man and galaga, and then in walked Stephen with his copper-colored hair and charming sense of humor. We immediately started talking and he ended up following me around talking smack about my skee-ball skills. I thought he was really handsome, and after we were done with games our group sat down outside to keep talking. Stephen was slotting songs to play on touchtunes and we chose "Bohemian Rhapsody" as our first song. When it first came on, Stephen in all of his tone-deaf glory sang it the loudest of us all! Then, as the song ended, we waited for the next song to come on and Bohemian Rhapsody started playing again. We shrugged it off and sang along, and then it played two more times AFTER that! We had accidentally slotted Bohemian Rhapsody four times in a row, much to the dismay of everyone around us, and every single time Stephen and I sang the whole thing. It was obnoxious at best but was so much fun! Stephen had intrigued me all evening but what struck me at that point was how unabashed he was about being himself and having a good time. We ended the evening pretty late, but not before exchanging snapchat codes. We started talking there the next day, and the rest is history!
