Maid of Honor

Firstly, I would like to give my congratulations to both the bride and groom, as this is a moment I am sure many of us have been waiting for. I must add that I am elated and honored to have been chosen as the bride's maid of honor. I have known Meisha for a little over ten (10) years now, as we first met in high school through a mutual friend. Throughout the years we have grown even closer, from attending university together, to singing on the same church choir, to dancing in the same dance group and so much more. Meisha has been more than a friend to me, more so a sister, she's someone that truly cares for those around her, she's someone who embodies godly principles. She is both beautiful inside and out, one of the most sincere persons I know and I am so grateful to have met her. I truly admire and appreciate her for being who she is, someone so selfless in that she'll go above and beyond for those she cares about, and at times forgetting to care for herself. She is truly one of a kind, my best friend, and I am so proud of her for making this special step towards another chapter in her life, congratulations again. - with love Keanuana Millwood

I met Stephen about 15 years ago going to Triple C School in Cayman. At first we were just both members in the band and choir. We were both drummers so naturally we got to know each other as time progressed. There were times when we would try to first each other trying to play certain songs on the drum set but we also knew each other's strengths and weaknesses when it came to playing music so naturally there were certain songs he would play and that I would play instead. We became closer as friends after I moved away from Cayman, playing games online with our friend group on the weekends until it became almost every day. I'm usually someone who avoids social interactions especially online but when it came to Stephen and our friend group, it was natural, although there were times where he would be so exhausted that you'd start to hear him snore. It happened to me too but not nearly as often. Over there years Stephen has been a great and genuine friend and I am proud to see where he is now, especially to reach this milestone of marriage.

First and foremost, choosing just one favorite photo of Meisha and I was probably harder than planning a wedding! (Mostly kidding). Years of friendship and fond memories will have that effect. Meisha and I became especially close during our high school years. It doesn’t feel that long ago, but seeing how much time has truly passed, Confirms that our friendship has stood the test of not only time, but distance. We have grown in every way, except apart. For that I am proud. Back in the days when she wore a red-trimmed prefect vest, and I the purple; we were each obsessed with our favorite drinks: Ginger beer and Lucozade (respectively). For that reason, she nicknamed me “Chaunazade” and I named her “Gingy”. Now I can call her “wifey”. Seeing her bask in the love and appreciation she truly deserves is indescribable. It truly means the world to see those whom you love and pray for, walk proudly into their blessings. I know her union is a gift from above, as her whole life has been as profound testament of God’s goodness and mercies. I hope your love and marriage will be as everlasting as the Father’s love.

I’ve known Stephen since around 7th or 8th grade, but we really became close around 10th. He’s always been a smart guy, quiet at first, a bit shy, but once you get to know him, you see how genuine, grounded, and trustworthy he is. We’ve shared so much over the years: playing football, hanging out in the student lounge, spending hours at the gym (he was incredibly strong at 17), talking about the future, so many different topics, and getting lost in music together. We played the same video games, dressed alike, and shared the same outlook on life and love for beats. He’s even the one who taught me how to brush my hair properly. I can still hear him in school saying “this guy” whenever I did something unconventional it always cracked me up and, in a way, pushed me to be even more daring. One thing that really sets Stephen apart is his loyalty, you don’t find that often in a world where people are so quick to switch up. My parents have always liked him, and even though he’s been away from Cayman for a while, we’ve stayed close. I truly value our friendship and couldn’t be happier to see him stepping into this next chapter as he gets married.

It all began over a decade ago at Faith Cathedral Church, where I first danced with Meisha in the Rising Stars Dance Ministry. From that moment on, dancing became a huge part of our friendship. Now, I won’t even try to recall the exact date, let's just say my memory isn’t the best! Despite being the eldest one, that didn’t stop us from forming a friendship that quickly became one of the most cherished parts of my life. Meisha has bloomed into a beautiful rose . She brings joy, laughter, and a sense of sisterhood that I treasure deeply. As I’ve watched her grow into the fantastic young lady she is today, I can’t help but feel proud. I’m truly excited to stand by her side as she embarks on this new adventure of becoming an amazing wife. Here’s to love, friendship, and all the beautiful moments.

I’ve known Stephen since the start of middle school, back in 2007, when I first landed in Cayman. He was a year below me, but we still connected. We both ended up at the same high school, where we spent four years in band class, trying to hit the right notes and not get hit by flying drumsticks. After graduation, we both ventured into adulthood (or at least pretended to), but thanks to the wonders of modern technology, namely PlayStation and Discord, we’ve kept in touch. Because nothing says friendship like yelling at each other over lag and bad callouts during a multiplayer game.

Meisha and I grew up together. We first met in the hallways of Prospect Primary School though if you ask her, she’ll probably say it was at Achievement Centre! As time went on, we realized not only did we go to the same primary school, but we also attended the same church. We spent our Sundays in Sunday school together and even danced in the same dance group. From school days and dance rehearsals to movie trips, sleepovers, and Sunday morning performances, we’ve shared so many moments over the years. Meisha and I have truly done life side by side through every laugh, every change, and every season. She’s always felt more like family than a friend, and I’m beyond grateful to be standing by her side on her special day.

I met Stephen when he and my sister first began talking. At the time, he was the drummer at our church and a really good one. I remember watching him play and being completely impressed. I asked him more than a few times to teach me how to drum like that. Instead of brushing me off, he encouraged me. He even bought me a drum pad and sticks so I could practice and improve. That simple act showed me the kind of man he is — generous, patient, and intentional. Over time, I got to see more of his character, and it became clear why my sister chose him. He leads with kindness and serves with humility. I’m beyond excited to watch him step into this next chapter and become the incredible husband I know he will be.

I met Stephen through our mutual friend Matthew, who went to school with him. What started as simple nights of playing video games together quickly grew into a strong friendship and brotherhood among us. Over the years, I’ve seen firsthand the kind of friend and man Stephen is, and the beautiful relationship he shares with the boys and with Meisha. It’s been a joy to witness, and we sincerely pray that their love and bond continue to grow and last forever.
