How We Met

Studly Steve and Musical Megan

It all started with two friends sitting on a dock at a leadership camp in Lake George. We spent the entire night talking about our lives and anything that was on our minds. We enjoyed each other's company so much that we planned our first official date the following weekend. We both did not expect the relationship to last; we even agreed with each other to take it one month at a time. Nine years later, we are both very excited to officially tie the knot in our relationship and spend many more years of happiness together!

The Proposal

The Most Magical Place On Earth

The future bride and groom decided to go to Disney in 2015 to celebrate not only their graduation from Saint Rose, but also their 4th anniversary together. While in Magic Kingdom, they came across the Sword in the Stone directly behind Cinderella's Palace. Steve thought it would be fun to try to pull the sword from stone. Just as they finished messing with the sword, one of the noble ladies of the castle approached them. She began hitting on Steve and asked if he was single. Megan informed her that it was our four-year anniversary. She then turned to Steve and said, "FOUR YEARS!? Sir! Good Lord! What are you waiting for?" Steve then said to the woman, "You're right: what am I waiting for?" He then pulled the ring out of his pocket and Megan turned into a puddle. The woman was so shocked, especially since the encounter was not planned! She then started yelling for more people to come over and they managed to get a picture with her and her fellow cast members. The rest of the day was a blur, as both of them were in states of euphoria and disbelief. At the end of the day, they celebrated with members of Megan's family in Orlando.
