The Foundry / New York

Stephen & Marissa met on May 22, 2021. While no chance encounter, they both agree that fate played its part that day. And yes, they certainly had a little help from their friends, whose loving manifestations gently swayed the universe into alignment for them. What started as kind looks, big smiles, and a little honey mustard on Stephen’s lip, shortly grew into deeper affection and interest. Given that it was Marissa’s birthday celebration, it only seemed proper that Stephen ask her permission for a kiss. This would be each other’s last first kiss! After that incredible day, Stephen knew there was no going back. There would be no one else. Stephen found his home in Marissa’s loving embrace and Marissa found her kind-hearted gentleman.  They spent much of the next two+ years inseparable, growing both as a couple and individuals. They shared a love for travel and adventure. From surviving poisonous spiders, man-eating vultures and food-poisoning in the treacherous jungles of Belize, to close encounters with black bears while camping in the Catskills; the experiences they shared only further solidified their loving bond. When not traveling, they spent their cherished spare time enjoying everything their home city of NYC has to offer - museums, art galleries, jazz clubs, restaurants, the list is endless. Of course then came the big chapter of moving in together.  Shortly after, these two found themselves in Morocco, surrounded by the beautiful rolling red sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. It was here that Stephen summoned the courage to get on one knee and pop that oh so important question. Marissa responded with a resounding, "A million times yes!" The two cried the happiest of tears and slow danced to their favorite song, "Beyond," while the sun set over the Sahara Desert. After patiently waiting for 2025 to get here, it’s finally time to celebrate! In the company of family, friends, and loved ones, Stephen & Marissa will be wed on Friday, June 20th, and they couldn't be more excited!
