As Stephen told it when he proposed, "there once was a Doctor and Lawyer who met under Michigan's Tallest Flagpole..." Our first date was at Fin's in New Baltimore, MI just 4 days before Madyson started residency in Detroit

With a very elaborate ruse, Stephen took us to the Fisher Building. This is a beautiful old building in Detroit where we had taken our first few photos together when we first met in 2020. This was followed by a wonderful dinner and our local friends met us at a brewery downtown to celebrate!

Stephen sleeps all the way into about 0600 when Tito wakes him up demanding breakfast. Stephen goes down to get him breakfast and June joins for her early morning meal as well. June returns to sleep the rest of the morning in bed with Madyson. Madyson is gently awoken by 0730 to the sounds of “That’s Amore” in order to beat the crowds at Eastern Market for the farmers market. We stop by the meat guy, the fruit guy, the honey guy. Our next stop takes us to Southwest Detroit for Honeybee breakfast burritos. We return home to take June for a long walk at the Ford House before swinging by the thrift stores to find some good vintage Detroit sports apparel or a cool jacket that Madyson doesn’t have yet. Perhaps an afternoon pickleball game. Stephen cooks a masterpiece for dinner while Madyson helped chop some things.
