We're getting married!

Stephen and Kayla grew up in Pembroke Pines, FL and attended West Broward High School together, but they didn't officially meet until Stephen's freshman fall semester at the FSU/Clemson 2016 tailgate/game. A mutual friend made the introduction and there was an instant connection. Stephen and Kayla kept in touch and saw each other during Stephen's South FL visits. Their friendship grew and so did their interest in each other. Kayla moved to Tallahassee in January 2017 to begin her FSU college experience. Kayla had always dreamed of attending FSU but what she didn't realize, she would also be taking the next step with the love of her life, Stephen. They spent every day together during Kayla's first few weeks in Tally. Stephen was the perfect FSU ambassador and Kayla welcomed their face-to-face time. Stephen took the leap and asked Kayla out on their first date in late January 2017. They became an official couple in February. Stephen and Kayla's love for each other grew stronger during their college years. They both graduated from FSU in May 2020. Stephen and Kayla spent approximately the next two years living in separate locations. Stephen moved back to FSU and Kayla stayed in South Florida, both pursuing their master's degrees. Despite the many miles and distance, their relationship continued to evolve through frequent visits and FaceTime. Stephen moved to Tampa in October 2021 to begin his professional career. Kayla joined Stephen in June 2022 and Tampa has become their beloved home. On October 1, 2022 Stephen proposed to Kayla at the historic Westcott Fountain on FSU's campus. Stephen orchestrated a weekend getaway using the FSU/Wake Forest game as his "cover". Family and close friends were there for the special surprise. "Marry me Kayla, you'll never have to be alone, I love you and that's all I really know. It's a love story, baby, just say YES". She did!! Couldn't resist a Taylor Swift tribute. Stephen and Kayla are excited to begin their lives as "Mr. and Mrs." and promise an enchanting weekend for all!
