Matron of Honor
How blessed I am to have known you for 16 years! We have laughed, cried, and raised kiddos together. I could not have asked for a more loyal friend to see me through happy times and dark times as well. You have stuck closer to me than I possibly could have imagined. I am thankful for your kind and generous spirit, and for your incredible organizational skills as well. I knew you'd be an uh-mazing Matron of Honor, but already you have surpassed any expectations with your flexibility, brilliant ideas and enthusiasm. The support you and Dan have given Stephen and I touches us beyond words.
Groomsman
I've come to know Dan in a shorter time frame . . . during which I've come to resonate deeply with his gentle humanity, his soft humility, and his joy of life. Dan had to overcome daunting circumstances early on which most of us are spared, and the person he is today is a testament to the best of goodness in any human being. He listens intently, he speaks with his eyes, he reaches out with his heart. Kate's Matron of Honor is his wife, and together these two amazing souls bring God's grace and sensitivity to all of us who are blessed to be in their presence on this occasion. I sensed an immediate kinship of souls with Dan, and with his valuable friendship I look forward to many cherished moments and meaningful memories that make life truly worth living.
Bridesmaid
I met Melissa Guth during MTG's production of Beauty and the Beast. I never could have imagined the instant connection we would have. It took us approximately 5 minutes to bond and become close friends. Melissa is easily one of the sunniest, funniest, sweetest people I've had the fortune to know. By all accounts, she should be far too busy to invest in the lives of others, and yet, she is constantly giving of herself, her joy, her time and energy to make this world a better place. I'm a better person for having met you, Guth. I am blessed and thrilled that you'll be standing up with me when I marry the man of my dreams.
Groomsman
Jonah Levia has become such a dear friend over the last several years. He has shared his heart so openly to Kate and I, and supported us both through difficult times. He has inspired me with his strength of conviction, his unshakeable sense of fairness and doing what's right, and his resolve to make every day better. Not only that, his always-ready wit and his Southern charm endear him to anyone who has the good fortune to come to know him. I've come to admire his drive to better himself, to push beyond his personal limits, and to grow more in all directions as a human being. What groom wouldn't be fortified in spirit, and firmly rooted in humanity, with such a worthy and noble fellow as Jonah Levia at his side?
Personal Attendant, Bodyguard, and Life Coach to the Bride
Woman. You have had my back more times than I can count. You do not do anything in life halfway, and I love that about you. You encourage me, support me, defend me and make me laugh (the huge embarrassing belly laughs) more times than I can count. You give me the space to completely be myself and THAT is a gift. Already in this wedding journey you have advocated for me, helped me de-stress, and made each step more positive, and more fun. I adore our friendship and I am thankful down to my toes for you.
Flower Girl
My darling daughter. You are the most wonderful combination of beauty, sparkle, and human tornado. What a joy to have you be such an important part of this beautiful day. You bring me joy just by being you every moment of your life. I love you forever.
