Ten years ago, we met through a mutual friend. What was meant to be a simple dinner turned into something far more meaningful. In the ease of conversation and shared laughter, a beautiful friendship quietly began.

Life led us down different paths, one of us moved abroad. Yet distance never dimmed our bond—our talks stayed warm and familiar. Reunited, we found ourselves drawn back together, sharing coffee, dinners, and dreams. What began as effortless friendship slowly blossomed into something deeper.

As our connection grew, so did our feelings... quietly, naturally, and undeniably. There were questions, moments of uncertainty, and timing that didn’t always align. At one point, we told ourselves we were just friends. Then came an unexpected pause — the COVID-19 lockdown. In that stillness, we saw each other anew. When the world reopened and time was ours again, clarity followed. We could no longer ignore what our hearts already knew. So we chose each other. And from that moment on, love became the most natural thing we shared.

After five years of growing together through every high and low, we took a special trip to Japan. In October, beneath the warm hues of autumn and with the snow-capped peak of Mount Fuji in the distance, one of us got down on one knee and asked a question that would change our lives forever. The answer was yes — to love, to partnership, and to a lifetime together.
