Our Story

First comes Hinge, then comes Marriage

It all began in November 2020, when a simple swipe on Hinge brought us together. From the very beginning, our connection was effortless—full of curiosity, laughter, and a sense of calm that felt like home. For our very first date, Stephen invited Jourdan on a motorcycle ride through the winding paths of Valley Forge Park. It was Jourdan’s first time on a motorcycle, and Stephen—who had spent his college years riding—was the perfect guide. That ride was the start of something unforgettable. As our relationship grew, so did our shared sense of adventure, our love of quiet moments, and the deep respect we hold for one another. In true Stephen fashion—thoughtful, intentional, and just a little bit sneaky—he told Jourdan in 2022 that he planned to propose at Avalon Beach… a full year in advance. In July 2023, Stephen took Jourdan on a drive through Valley Forge Park, this time in a convertible. They stopped at a bridge tucked away in the trees—a spot Stephen said his coworkers had worked on and that he wanted to revisit. As they stood on the bridge, Stephen shared a story about how Jourdan’s mother used to bring her to bridges just like this one, to watch the water rush beneath them. Then, with the soft rustle of leaves around them and the memory of that childhood tradition lingering in the air, Stephen got down on one knee and asked Jourdan to marry him. The moment was perfect. And it didn’t end there. Back at Gretchen’s (Jourdan's best friend) home, Stephen had one more surprise in store: a beautiful engagement party with family and friends, waiting to celebrate their love. Now, as we plan our wedding and the rest of our lives together, we’re filled with gratitude for every twist and turn that brought us here—and for all the bridges we’ll cross side by side.
