Stephen and I met on Facebook Dating, of all places. Any kind of online dating is not where you want to be, unless it’s for a laugh. For some reason I kept going back and it was always the same faces and the same hilarious profiles. Then I came across Stephen’s profile and I was like ahhhh, he’s way outta my league but I’ll swipe anyway. Sure enough, we matched! I still thought it was too good to be true, but I sent a message anyway. We matched on a Monday, and the only reason I know that is because it takes me two nights to watch a movie and Charleigh and I were watching Trolls (my first time). So, the first night I said we were watching trolls…second night, still watching Trolls. The conversation was brief and a little back and forth, he said how much he liked Trolls (that is absolutely true 🤣) and I don’t remember what else and that was it. I didn’t hear back for a few days so I just figured I knew it wasn’t going to turn into anything. That Friday I got another message (he “claims” he just forgot to check his dating messages…yeah okay 🤣) and we ended up exchanging phone numbers and that was it. We messaged non stop and I instantly knew I was in love with him. I actually found my wedding dress a few days after we met in person the first time. I remember asking him if he was sure he didn’t think I’m crazy, and he responded, “I think our crazies match.” I don’t think it was necessarily crazy, it was just two people who knew what they wanted out of life and had a lot of love to give to our person. It feels like we’ve done this before, in another universe, and that’s what made this so easy was that our souls recognized each other.
