Travel Note

From Rome

If you're arriving from abroad, we recommend flying into Rome (Roma Fiumicino Airport), which is the nearest airport. If you want to travel to Assisi via train, there are bus services and shuttle services that can take you to Roma Termini, the main train station in Rome. TRAIN: There are several daily trains leaving from Roma Termini station, and the ride to Assisi usually takes a couple of hours (expect a change at the station in Foligno). RENTAL CAR: Assisi is fairly connected from Rome and Perugia (Umbria's capitol city) but to experience and visit the region more freely you might want to drive. You can find many rental dealers at the airport.
