Such were her words off the air moments after Colie appeared as a guest on the Valentine's Day episode of the church's Men's Ministry podcast. She spoke about single life in LA, and boldly asked to be set up. The podcast's hosts, her fellow pastors, happened to be leading Stephen's Bible study at the time and they set them up a few months later!
This was Colie's practiced response when she and her friends would pretend to propose to each other in college. Fast forward a few years, Stephen received the parental blessing for Colie's hand and set to work on planning the proposal. One month into the planning process, however, Steph realized that he had worked out most of the details of the engagement party, but had NO clue how he was going to propose...until Colie herself gave him the idea. During a quiet night in, she lamented that they had no "nice" pictures together. Steph wonders if she saw the smirk across his face at her remark - he now had a plan! And so, under the guise of a Valentine's day photoshoot, one year and one day after Colie appeared on the Men's Ministry podcast, Steph proposed, and Colie, remembering her endearingly cheesy line from college replied: "A thousand times, yes"
