FAQs

Question

What should I wear to the welcome party?

Answer

We are excited to see you before our big day! Feel free to come as you are or dress in casual summer festive attire.

Question

What should I wear to the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Our wedding celebration will be black tie optional, and think 'outdoor elegance' as the attire theme. We love getting fancy - if you have it, wear it!

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

There will be a shuttle to / from the hotel where we have arranged a room block (Litchfield Inn). Depending on where our other guests choose to stay, we might add another transportation stop closer to the date.

Question

How do I get to Litchfield, CT?

Answer

There are multiple transport options for you to consider: By Car (easiest route): Litchfield is ~2 hours north of New York City and ~3 hours southwest of Boston, MA. By Train: Travelers from NYC can take the Metro North from Grand Central to Bridgeport, CT and then take a ~45 min Uber / Lyft. Travelers from Boston can take the Amtrak to New Haven and then embark on a 1-1.5 hour drive. By Plane: It is easiest for travelers to fly into Hartford, CT (BDL Airport) and then drive ~1 hour. Alternatively, guests can fly into any of the New York area airports.

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors or under a tent, in the event of inclement weather. Our dinner and reception will both be inside in an air-conditioned barn, with some tables placed outside on a tented adjoining patio. The afterparty will be in an air-conditioned bar onsite!

Question

Do you have a room block?

Answer

Yes - we have a room block at the Litchfield Inn. Please see the accommodations tab for more information!
