To say that this love story was quite the plot twist would be an understatement. Stephen and Alora met in the Spring of 2010, Stephen's freshman year and Alora's sophomore year, at Texas A&M University as Fish Camp counselors in Camp Boulanger. Over the following years in college, they stayed friends with separate groups and eventually went their own ways. Alora graduated in 2012 and moved to Los Angeles while Stephen stayed back in College Station to finish school with a bonus victory lap. In 2015, Alora moved to Austin and Stephen was living and working in Bryan-College Station. Alora's best friend and MOH Julia gifted her with Aggie football tickets for her birthday, and when she went to College Station for the game, Julia suggested they meet up with Stephen. Long story short, they all had a Fightin' Texas Aggie good time that weekend and Alora and Stephen were thrilled to be reunited as friends. Fast forward- Stephen moved to Austin on New Years Eve and him and Alora were able to ring in 2016 together - yes, just as friends! It only took a bit of time to realize that they were more like best friends who enjoyed live music, watching football, drinking whiskey, and, most importantly, each other's company more than anything. Y'all know what happened next! In 2017, Stephen and Alora rescued their sweet black lab mix, Leo, and the time flew by until July 6, 2019, when Stephen proposed to Alora on a beautiful dock at Lake Travis. He even planned a surprise engagement party immediately following with all of their family and friends. Now Stephen and Alora are happily living in South Austin and counting the days until they say "I do" and become the Merys!

Our wedding will be completely outdoor and we request that all guests wear masks while around others and maintain a safe social distance at all times. Additional masks and hand sanitizer will be provided if needed. We are working closely with our caterer to guarantee all food will be handled with maximum care.
