Please *CALL* the Double Arrow at 406.677.2777 to make your arrangements! We have disabled online reservations to ensure that only those invited to the wedding are present during our weekend. If you go to book online, it will show the entire lodge as full and, while we hope for this to be true in July, it is not yet true at present. The Brilliant Bonnie + Staff of The Double Arrow will assist with booking the remaining cabins and rooms. Bonnie is a font of knowledge for Seeley and the surrounding area, if you have any questions about lodging or activities. Now, some context: Stephen and Alaine both come from giant, loving families with a bajillion cousins. We have also lucked into some pretty phenomenal friends along the way. Downside: As a result of our good luck and excellent taste, this shindig is a little bigger than anticipated. Part of the delay in invites was because many a night was spent, pulling hair, trying to make the puzzle work. In the end, it's a bit of a throw-it-all-in-the-air approach, but as we keep getting told - TIME IS RUNNING OUT. We kindly request that you be mindful in your booking to help us accommodate as many guests as possible. If you are feeling particularly thrifty, you could also find friends and family who won’t mind you throwing down a sleeping bag in their cabin for the night. (Additional cots and twins available upon request.) For those requiring alternative accommodations or you wish to adventure elsewhere...
We also have a block of rooms at the Hilton Garden in Missoula at a group rate, located right off of the interstate allowing for quick access to the airport getting to the Double Arrow. (Information on how to book in this block coming soon, another task on ye ol' to-do list...) There are many hotels in Missoula to choose from, as well as a few Airbnbs and VRBOs in the Seeley Lake area. There are also a few campgrounds in the area, but they are quite popular in the summer months so guest beware.
We totally understand. Unfortunately, rooms booked onsite must be booked for both nights and with many guests coming from great distances, if you are only able to attend our wedding on the 19th, we hope you will consider finding alternate accommodations (available via the Airbnb, VRBO, or hotels in Missoula).
Unfortunately, the Double Arrow has a strict no pet policy and will enforce a $100 fine, so please leave Pongo at home or make off-site arrangements. However, our block of rooms at the Hilton Garden Inn is pet-friendly!* (*additional charges may apply)
Garden Party Cocktail! Bright colors are highly encouraged, as you are all beloved flowers in our garden of life. It's going to be high Montana summer time in July, so dressing for comfort will also be key. The average high in July is 85°, with the nights being in the 50s, so please consult the forecast as we near the day. The ceremony (open air) and reception (tented) will be outside, so please plan accordingly. (Alaine here: Please, just no camo or cargo shorts.)
If you would like to contribute to our future together, that is wonderful and so very much appreciated. However, boy howdy weddings are a lot these days, especially if you have more than one to go to in a year; so please, do not feel like you must buy us a gift. We have been there/are also running the friend-wedding gauntlet so truly, cheesy as it sounds, your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift of all. We are just so excited to dance with y'all!
Please let Alaine/Stephen and Bonnie know; we want to make sure everyone is full and happy!
We are very sorry but since space is limited, please do not invite others unless you receive a plus one on your invite. (Does anybody actually read this one?)
HOT TOPIC, I know. For the most part, shoot away! We love seeing weddings from different perspectives. The only time we ask that you refrain is during the ceremony itself, as we have hired an incredible photographer (shout out to Charles Moll Photography!) to get these tender moments exclusively. We will make an announcement on the day, but please refrain from using your cell phones during the processional, ceremony, and recessional. Other than that, in the words of Caitlin: "Document it!"
I don't know. Send gin.
