We're getting married!

I met Candice (my sister) at the ball field to watch her play because softball is our life. As I am sitting there watching her, I am also watching the JMU Dukes Women's softball team play during the College World Series. JMU made an outstanding play that Candice had to know about. I ran down to the outside of the dugout and told her the about the amazing play that happened. Right after I had locked eyes with Stephen and instantly turned to her and said "Hey, is he single?". She wasn't sure, but later that night I recieved a FaceTime call from Stephen off of her phone and from there our story began.

It was Summer's 6th birthday party. She was having the time of her life while opening gifts. As she was opening gifts she would hand me the cards for me to read out loud so she knew who to thank for them. So as she is getting to the end she is still ripping open cards and handing them to me as she goes. I started to read the last one that she had opened and paused cause it didn't seem like a normal 6 year old's birthday card. So I look up to see if everyone was listening and there he was down on one knee. I started bawling and told him I couldn't read it anymore because of how choked up I was. He said I had too. I read the inside which said "Will you marry our daddy? Love Summer & Carter". I SAID YES!
