Our story is a unique one. We both work at the same school with disabled students but always kept a professional distance. We waved hi to one another and kept it simple. But one day on a school bowling trip with the students, we began to talk. For some reason, our conversation became a deep one. Automatically, we understood one another. After the bowling trip, our waves turned into big smiles as we passed each other in the school halls. After a few weeks, we exchanged phone numbers. Instantly we became text buddies from the early morning to late night. At work, we barely spoke to one another but we were secretly becoming best friends. As time went by and after many wonderful dates, Stephen asked me to be his girlfriend. I replied, "I will have to check my schedule to see if I am free". The rest is history. We spend more and more time together after work and on weekends. He met my baby cat Simba and it was an instant bond. I was sure after that he was the one for me. Any man who loves animals whole heartedly will love his girl whole heartedly. He also met my family and it felt natural, as he always belonged. As our relationship progressed we learned new things and Stephen started eating vegan food! On our special dates, we spend evenings falling in love with another. It's funny to see that our true love was down the school hall at work all along. Our love for the lord kept us in our Christian faith. It made our love for him and for one another stronger. God brought us together. He helped us face the many challenges that came our way. There was never a doubt we were meant to be. There was no doubt that God put us together. Eight months later, Stephen asked me to marry him. I simply replied, " I have to check my schedule to see if I am free". Of course that meant yes.
