The site of Seattle’s 1962 Worlds Fair is home to the Space Needle, Museum of Pop Culture, Chihuly Garden and Glass, and Pacific Science Center. Take the Monorail from the Seattle Center to Westlake and walk from here to Pike Place Market.
There are many nearby buses that go downtown near Pike Place Market. Light rail or a $10-$15 Uber is also an option. One of the the few remaining covered markets in the USA, Pike Place offers $5 bouquets, local art, and fishmongers shouting as they throw fish. It’s very busy on weekends, so stop by early in the day or on a weekday to avoid peak crowds. Popular places to eat and drink: Piroshky Pirosky, for "russian" pies, Cafe Campagne for brunch or lunch, or Panier for pastries, Beecher's for cheese, Chowder at Pike Place Chowder. Afterwards, walk down to the gum wall for a fun photo!
Walk or jog the 3 mile loop around this pretty lake. Paddle boats and stand up paddle boards also available for rent.
