In the midst of COVID, a mutual friend decided to ask us if we were willing to go on a blind date. James Summerville is a very close friend to Alex and James also happened to be the soon-to-be husband of Stephany's best friend Levanie. Seeing that we were both single, he took a shot. As he said to both of us; we both loved Marvel superheroes, we were adventurous, and overall easy-going people who could like each other. Stephany took a little more convincing since she was still studying for her licensing exam and was a strict no-guy zone until she passed the test. James and Levanie then suggested to have our first date to be a double date. We would go rock climbing at Stephany's home gym and have dinner at the girl's place. We met with masks on, but Stephany was highly impressed with Alex's ability to just climb with ease and honestly the arms were a nice touch. Alex was impressed with the first date option and "that ass." After eating some tacos and watching Home Alone there was potential for a second date. Second date we went bowling and at that point we both starting falling for our mutual love of music, dancing, and talks of Lord of the Rings and Star Wars. It also helped that we both are incredibly competitive trying to win the game, we felt relatively comfortable being our true selves around each other so quickly. After that the rest is history.
