How We Met

September 2014

Crossfit used to be life for Stephano and Amanda. He competed at many competitions... and at one of them, he spotted her... he didn't know how to find out who she was. A couple months later, at another competition, the story was reversed; she noticed him! "Oh, he's cute!!" she said to her then, unknown mutual friends, of theirs. The next thing you know, they were texting each other all day and then on their first date at Seasons 52. Hours of conversation, and of course.... dessert, they were the last ones to leave. Working out and Macros paved the road to "Stephano & Amanda"

The Engagement

4.8.2017

Stephano and Amanda planned a trip to Greece for her to meet his family, as well as to spend some time on the romantic island of Santorini. He thought it would be too obvious to propose in such a gorgeous place so Stephano picked a smaller and spontaneous trip to throw her off; to Washington D.C. After all, her favorite flower is the Cherry Blossom and D.C. is home to the Cherry Blossom Festival! They were set to leave for Greece in May so the yearly March-April festival couldn't have been at a more perfect time. Once they were there, it was a matter of leading Amanda to the best Cherry Blossom spot; The Lincoln Memorial. There had been a couple of freezes not long before their trip so the Memorial had the most Cherry Blossoms left in one spot. Sitting in front of the lake and surrounded by the Cherry Blossom trees, Stephano knew it was the perfect time. Luckily, he had slipped the ring box in his pocket without her noticing. So while they were laughing and dusting the grass off of each other from sitting down, he suddenly got down on one knee. He looked her straight in the eyes, pulled out her ring, and with his eyes starting to water (from the wind *wink-wink, he asked her those four magical words; "Will you marry me?" Tears were running down her cheek, (out of one eye only, of course) she hugged him so tightly and said "Yes! Of course!" "You have to try the ring on!" Stephano urged her to remember as spectators were beginning to clap. Kindly, a woman came running up and insisted he do it again, just so they could get the picture that would last a lifetime; him down on one knee. It was just as he had planned it, perfect!
