My mom used to tell me, "One day you will meet someone who will alter the course of your life." The day we met was just like any other. I was working my usual shift at a local bar. Jay was finishing an evening ride on his bike and decided to stop and get a bite to eat. He sat at the bar, alone, and we began to talk. Our conversation lingered for hours. Jay kept me company as I closed for the night and finally built the courage to ask if I would like to continue the conversation on a later date. Quickly I realized there was something special about this handsome bearded man. Looking back, those first few dates were the most pivotal moments in our lives. Had we just met the person who would alter the course of our lives? The answer was clear. Two and a half years later, on a beautiful fall afternoon, we were strolling along a suspension bridge at The Ravine Gardens when Jay said, "I have something for you." As I turned he began to kneel and with the most genuine smile he asked, "Will you marry me?" There is nothing that can prepare you for the moment your best friend asks you to be with him forever. It was a beautiful moment full of shared trust and love. Of course I said, "Yes!" We are so excited to celebrate our special day with close friends and family. Thank you for your continuing support. xx Jay & Stephanie
