why we don't want physical gifts?

Answer

We appreciate your support in the start of our new life together, but with the joining of our bachelor and bachelorette houses, we have acquired enough house hold goods to sustain ourselves and because we are moving to Japan, we will be living in quarters much smaller than the standard American apartment and will barely have space for what we already own.
